Listing and Selling

We have found that including an accurate price in your listing is extremely beneficial to everyone - the listers and potential buyers. 

For listers, the benefits include the following:

  1. Enhanced search visibility: Listings with complete information, including price, are more likely to appear in search results especially when users sort or filter search results. This increases the visibility of the seller's listing to relevant buyers, attracting more potential buyers and improving the chances of a sale. 
  2. Faster sales process: Clear pricing information streamlines the sales process by reducing the back-and-forth negotiation between buyers and sellers as it removes enquiries that are solely about price. Serious buyers are more likely to make inquiries or purchase directly when they see a listed price, resulting in quicker transactions. 
  3. More positive user feedback: Providing a seamless browsing and purchasing experience, facilitated by clear pricing information, can lead to positive feedback and reviews from buyers. Positive reviews can further enhance the seller's reputation on the platform, attracting more buyers in the future.

For potential buyers, the benefits include: 

  1. Better user experience: By providing clear pricing information upfront, potential buyers can quickly assess whether a listing fits within their budget. In fact, requiring a price to be included in a listing is the most requested feature by buyers who use our platform. 

Increased trust and credibility: Including pricing information adds transparency to the listing, demonstrating to buyers that the seller is upfront and honest about the value of their item. This leads to an increased trust in the platform and the sellers using it.

The SkyOlix platform is available to navigate by all without the need to register an account, but you will be required to have an account and to be logged-in before taking any action like adding a listing, adding anything to your favorites, chatting with another user, or following another user.

We provide you with a reason for the deletion any time a listing is deleted before the expiry of the listing period. This could be because the listing breaches our Terms of Use or applicable law, or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others, or because we suspect fraudulent activity. Please click on "Listings" followed by "My Listings" for additional details relating to a specific deleted listing. If you do not agree with the reason stated for the deletion, please contact customer support with you account details and they will be able to assist you.

SkzOlix offers a wide variety of paid value-added services that serve the purpose of helping your listing reach more people so you can sell faster. These include "Reposts", as well as various "Promoted" services. For additional details, please refer to the "Reposts and Promoted Listings" section.

This depends on your country of residence, as well as the category in which you wish to post. For an overview of the free listings available to you, please:

1. Go to "Account".

2. Click on "Manage Account".

3. Refer to the "Category Limits" which are available to you.

most listings remain active for 30 days except for real estate listings which remain active for 60 days.

In all other countries, listings remain active for 60 days.

There are a number of reasons why this could be the case:

1. If the listing has been rejected because it is in breach of our Terms of Use, the reason for the rejection will be communicated to you next to the listing.

2. If the listing is pending payment, you will be informed of this and the listing will be activated once payment is received.

3. If you listing has been flagged for review by our content moderation team, their review will be completed as soon as possible.

If you do not receive notice that a listing has been rejected or is pending payment, and if the listing is not activated within a reasonable amount of time of its submission by you, please contact customer support with your account details and they will be able to assist you.

Our content team regularly reviews listings and makes the change if they believe that the listing was made in an incorrect category. If you do not agree with moving the listing, please contact customer support with you account details and they will be able to assist you.

We offer you all the information you need to keep track of your listings. To track the number of views, please:

1. Click on "Listings" followed by "My Listings".

2. Under any listing, click on "Manage" and then on "Statistics' to view the number of views for that listing.

We offer you all the information you need to keep track of the number of people who tried to reach out to you by accessing your phone number which is registered with us. To track this number, please:

1. Click on "Listings" followed by "My Listings".

2. Under any listing, click on "Manage" and then on "Statistics' to view the number of calls and chats for that listing.

If you want to know the contact details of any person who tried to reach out to you with regard to a specific listing, you will need to buy a membership which will give you access to a lot more detailed information.

We have made this easy for you. Under each listing, you will find a "Share Listing" button that you can click and which will allow you to share the listing with your contacts or on your social media accounts.

Yes, as long as you do not exceed the number of free listings allowed in any category, provided that the listing life for now-deleted listing has also expired (which is typically 30 or 60 days, depending on the category and the country).

Yes, you are able to edit a listing in compliance with our Terms of Use. While you can edit pictures, update the price or add more details, you are unable to change the content of the listing or the category under which it was listed.

Listings limit aim to control unwanted duplicated listings that affect the quality of our customers’ experience (sellers and buyers) on the platform, as they ultimately create clutter and spoil the buyers’ experience, reducing the ability of genuinely committed sellers to sell their items.

Listing limits do not mean that you can't add more listings. You simply have buy a membership, which would add to your listing limits.

Reposts and Promoted Listings

The listings are usually posted in chronological order in each category or sub-category, with the newest listings displayed first. However, you can enhance your listings' visibility in two ways:

1. Repost the listing; or

2. Promote the listing.

For more details on these options, please refer to the questions and answers provided below in this section.

A Repost will push your listing back to the top of search results for the relevant sub-category at the time of purchase (if the Repost is for one time only) or for an agreed number of days on or around the same time each day (if the Repost is for more than one time).

Promoted listings will always show near the top of the search results for any sub-category, ahead of any free listings (which have not been paid for) but behind any Promoted VIP listing in that sub-category (if any).

A Promoted Turbo listing is essentially a Promoted listing that benefits from a Repost once a day for a pre-agreed number of days. This means that the listing will remain near the top of any search results, but will also be bumped up once a day to bring it even closer to the top.

A Promoted VIP listing will remain the very first search result for any sub-category for a certain period of time, ahead of all other search results. There can only ever be one Promoted VIP listing in any sub-category in any one city or country.

Memberships and additional listings

If you have reached the limit of free listings in any category and you would like to add more listings, you can always:

1. Buy a membership which would unlock an additional number of listings. There are a number of available packages for you to select from, depending on your needs.

2. Buy a pre-set number of additional listings, depending on your needs

Buying a membership gives you access to a pre-set number of additional listings. Additional listings purchased using a membership do not have to be used at the time of purchase, but will have to be used during a specific period of time which varies depending on the membership purchased.

In addition, a membership will give you access to a lot more information about the people who viewed your listings or expressed interest in connecting with you. This will prove invaluable to you as you try to understand user needs and to sell better.

You can renew your membership at any time, but it is preferable to renew it before the expiry of any existing membership. Doing so will ensure that you benefits will continue without suspension or interruption.

One of the key advantages of a membership is that it allows you to add listings which are over and above the free listing allocations that you are entitled to as a user of SkyOlix . As such, if your membership expires without renewal, and you have listings above the free listing allocations that you are entitled to, then all these additional listings will be de-activated pending any further action from your end (to delete them, or to renew your membership, or buy new listings).

You can upgrade your membership anytime. When you upgrade your membership, your new membership will commence and the amounts previously paid in respect of the now-cancelled remaining membership period will be taken into account and added as credit to your wallet so you can use it.
